Waking Up in Reno is an American comedy film directed by Jordan Brady from the year 2002.
Action
Roy Kirkendall is married to Candy, Lonnie Earl Dodd is married to Darlene. The friendly couples want to spend their holidays together. You go to a show in Reno. Lonnie Earl Dodd takes the road in Texas participated in a competition in the steak meal.
Candy wants to become pregnant. After her ovulation she loves her husband in the car in a parking lot. Around the car to curious onlookers gather up impatiently waiting Lonnie Earl Dodd lovemaking interrupts. In Reno Candy notes that she has become pregnant. Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times that the dialogues are similar to those in a sitcom. The screenplay secure the victory of traditional values such as love and family at the end of the film. Some of the jokes are cheap, such as Lonnie Earl for four hotel employees in general give you a dollar tip.

The comedy was filmed at the beginning of 2000 in Los Angeles, Fullerton, Reno, Texas and Arizona for Miramax Films. In 1997 a film starring Powers Boothe, Laura Dern, Barbara Hershey and Mary Steenburgen was planned.
The film was shown in less than 200 cinemas in the United States, in which he grossed about 262 thousand U.S. dollars. In some countries it was released directly to video or DVD.
