David Liffiton

David Liffiton ( born October 18, 1984 in Windsor, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since August 2013 in Färjestad BK Svenska Hockey ligands under contract.

Career

David Liffiton began his career as a hockey player with the Plymouth Whalers, where he was active from 2001 to 2004 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the second round than a total of 63 players from the Colorado Avalanche, the then but did not receive him under contract. Instead, he played from 2004 to 2008 for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League. In parallel, he came to three inserts in the National Hockey League for their partners New York Rangers, as well as 31 missions during the 2004/05 season for the Charlotte Checkers in the ECHL.

The 2008/09 season spent Liffiton at EfB Ishockey in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen. In this, he scored three goals in 29 games and made six assists. Then he returned to North America and was during the 2009/10 season for the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL on the ice. From the 2010/11 season the Canadians played in parallel for the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL and their AHL farm team Lake Erie Monsters.

In the summer of 2012, the return to Europe followed. He signed at Hockey Milano Rossoblu from the Italian Serie A1.
