David Octavius Hill Medal
The David Octavius Hill Medal, named after the Scottish photography pioneer of the 19th century, David Octavius Hill is awarded by the German Photographic Academy today about every three years. She is also the Art Prize of the City Leinfelden.
Award
The GDL forgave 1966-1986 twenty times the " David Octavius Hill Medal" to personalities of photography for outstanding artistic or scientific achievements.
Since 1988, this award was given as the Prize of the City Leinfelden under the auspices of Photography Academy GDL and equipped with a monetary amount.

The prize is worth 5,000 Euros.
