Joakim Eskildsen

Joakim Eskildsen ( [ jɔɑkɪm ɛskɪldsən ]; born December 22, 1971 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish photo artist and photographer.

Location

Eskildsen was in Copenhagen pupils Hoffotografin Rigmor Mydtskov and went to Helsinki in 1994 to learn the craft of making photographic picture books at the local College of Art and Design at Pentti Sammallahti. He is with exhibitions in Europe ( Germany, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain), in China, in Florida, in South Korea and emerged in South Africa.

The Roma Journeys

Eskildsen has with writer Cia Rinne in the years 2000 to 2006 in seven European countries, especially East of the Roma and visited ethnic groups in India who may be related to the Roma. Also on the basis of several weeks living together with the person in question is from the work created The Roma Journeys, which is by its text and more than 200 epic portraits and environmental studies insight into the cosmos of Roma.
