David Rudder

David Michael Rudder ( born May 6, 1953 in Port of Spain, Trinidad ) is a musician and singer in the genres of calypso and soca.

Person

David Rudder was born in Belmont and grew up as one of nine children. In 1977, he joined the famous group in Trinidad Charlie's Roots, with which he achieved his national breakthrough.

1986 composed the Rudder Calypso The Hammer, in which he sang to the known Steelpanbauer Rudolph Charles. This calypso was played in the competition panorama of many steel bands.
