David Stove

David Stove (* September 15, 1927; † 2 June 1994) was an Australian philosopher.

His main interest was in the following topics:

  • Defense of inductivism
  • Criticism of philosophers of science such as Karl Popper, Thomas S. Kuhn, Paul Feyerabend and Imre Lakatos, which he attested explicitly irrationalism
  • Criticism of theology and idealism in philosophy
  • Criticism of feminism, Marxism and (French ) Semiotics
  • Criticism of Darwinism and sociobiology
