David Vaughan (2010)

David Owen Vaughan ( born February 18, 1983 in Rhuddlan ) is a Welsh footballer who has a contract with Sunderland since the summer of 2011. He currently plays on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Playing career

Crewe Alexandra

The Welshman David Vaughan began his career as a football player with the English tradition club Crewe Alexandra. There, he played in the youth. From 2000 to 2007, the midfielder played seven years for the first team of Crewe. In the season 2002/ 03 he became the regular player with his team promotion to the second English League, the League Championship. After only two years was in the season 2005/ 06 but again the descent into the third class of League One. Also went there with Vaughan.

Real Sociedad

In the summer of 2007, Vaughan took the offer from the Spanish first division relegated Real Sociedad after the Basques his compatriot Chris Coleman dedicated as their new coach. After Coleman's dismissal, however, it was very bad for Vaughan, so that it came in the first round only seven missions in which he once met. His first competitive match was Vaughan on Matchday 2 1-0 away win at SD Eibar. His first goal he scored on matchday in a 3-2 away victory at UD Las Palmas.

Blackpool FC

On 4 August 2008 Vaughan joined the English second division side FC Blackpool. In the Football League Championship 2009/10, he reached with his team's promotion to the first division, but rose a year later as a table next to last in the Premier League 2010/11 again second in the league from.

Sunderland AFC

After the descent with Blackpool David Vaughan signed in the summer of 2011, a contract with the first division club Sunderland AFC.

On October 31, 2013 Vaughan moved on loan to Nottingham Forest.

Internationally

David Vaughan is the current Welsh national team.
