Davilex Games

Davilex is a Dutch software development company and former game producer (as Davilex Games). The company was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in Veenendaal.

Company History

With only ten employees Davilex has enjoyed commercial success with games like Autobahn Raser, holiday speeders and still many other games, but in the trade press, the games were rather poor ratings. Tangible criticism Davilex acted in with the game Invasion of Germany, in which the player must fend off at known locations in Germany an alien invasion. The criticism was referring to the final scene, in which the player is in the debating chamber of the Reichstag and there you can shoot at the federal eagle, the croaks then.

Davilex had secured licenses such as Knight Rider and Miami Vice and developed for these two popular movie series games. Davilex developed for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Windows. Davilex finished the game development in 2005, because the games were no longer profitable enough and were not well received by the trade press as well as the players.
