Day Software

Day Software (formerly Day Interactive Holding AG ) is a Swiss software company founded in 1993 that specializes in content management systems. Since 2000, it is listed on the Swiss Exchange SIX Swiss Exchange. The operational headquarters of the company are located in Basel, where there is also the seat of the listed company Day Software Holding, as well as in Newport Beach in the U.S. state of California.

The core product is the Java- based Enterprise Content Management System ( ECMS ) CQ5 (formerly Communiqué ), which positions itself as a CMS for Web 2.0. The company with its CTO David Nüscheler is in charge of the definition of a standard for content repositories (JSR 170 and JSR 283 ).

On July 28, 2010 Adobe Systems announced to buy Day for approximately 240 million U.S. dollars. The acquisition was completed on October 29, 2010.
