De Stentor

The newspaper de Stentor is a Dutch regional newspaper with editorial headquarters in Apeldoorn. The newspaper is published Monday to Saturday in tabloid format. Editor of the newspaper is Wegener, where appear with BN / De Stem, Brabants Dagblad, Eindhoven Dagblad, De Gelderlander, Provinciale Zeeuwse Courant and De Twentsche Courant Tubantia other regional newspapers. The paid circulation was 2008 127.837 copies in the first quarter. Editor in Chief Alex Engbers.

The newspaper was founded in 2003 as an overarching title for the local editions Apeldoornse Courant, Dagblad Flevoland, Deventer Dagblad, Gelders Dagblad, Nieuw Kamper Dagblad, Sallands Dagblad, Veluws Dagblad, Zutphen Dagblad and Zwolse Courant. The distribution area includes Flevoland on the Achterhoek and the Northeast Overijssels to the southeast of the Veluwe large parts of the Netherlands.

The newspaper has editorial offices in Dronten, Emmeloord, Epe, Harderwijk, Kampen, Lochem, Ommen Raalte, Zutphen and Zwartsluis, more publishing offices are located in Apeldoorn ( 2), Deventer and Zwolle.

History

Under the name de Stentor following newspapers since 2003 summarized:

(* 1) The Gelders Dagblad was created on February 1, 1992 the former newspapers De Vallei (founded in 1926), Edese Courant (founded in the 1920s ) and the Local Issue " Wageningen " the Arnhemse Courant (founded in 1814), on 1 May 1993 was added and the Nijmeegs Dagblad. On November 5, 2001, three local editions were the Gelders Dagblad, " Betuwe & Liemers ", " Graafschap / Achterhoek " and " Vallei / Veluwe ", in De Gelderlander one, the remaining part of the Gelders Dagblad in 2003 to de Stentor: Gelders Dagblad.

(* 2) The Zutphen Dagblad (the name was shortened in 1955, before he was Zutphen dagblad voor de Graafschap Veluwezoom ) in 1994 was a local edition of the Gelders Dagblad (see note above ). Since the integration of this sheet in de Stentor there is again a separate issue with the name Zutphen Dagblad.

On 6 February 2007 was changed from broadsheet to compact tabloid format.
