Dead Heat - Deadly Race (Original title: Dead Heat ) is a Canadian- German action drama from director Mark Malone from the year 2002.

Action

Pally LaMarr, a police officer in Boston, must retire due to his health problems. His marriage deep trouble. He has a job, buys his half-brother Ray for him a racehorse.

Pally and Ray offer the jockey Tony LaRoche participation in the horse when Tony is riding the horse. LaRoche is an ex-con who is looking for his family. Since he has gambling debts, the mafia boss Frank Finnegan steals the horse. Pally, Ray and Tony steal back the horse, whereupon they are pursued by Finnegan. Pally goes to the hospital where he is being treated. He reconciled after discharge with his wife Charlotte.

Background

The shooting took place in Victoria, British Columbia, instead. 2003, the film was released on DVD.

Reviews

The lexicon of the International film wrote that the film was a " [k ] urzweilige mix of character drama and comedy ." It mentioned the " sympathetic [n ] Models ," the " interest [ s ] environment " and said the "dramatic finale [ raises ] the film over the bulk of the offer. " Andrea Chee wrote on May 13, 2003 in Movie Gazette, the characters are interesting. The humorous scenes would make the film entertaining. Scott Weinberg wrote on efilmcritic.com, the relationship between Pally and Charlotte is shown in a way that they make the "highlight" of the film. The film is predictable and you can forget about him, but he was less stupid and more entertaining than many video films.
