Dean Geyer

Dean Stanley Geyer ( born March 20, 1986 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is an Australian singer, songwriter and actor.

Life

Geyer was born as the eldest son of Debbie and Keith Geyer. He has two younger siblings, Jessica and Tatum. At the age of 15, he moved to Melbourne in Australia. In 2004 he got there a degree from a high school. Dean Geyer was interested in early music. He learned to play the guitar, wrote his first songs and played in a band called Third Edge.

Private life

He was from 2007 to 2008 with The Veronicas singer Lisa Origliasso together. Since the filming of 2010 The Fighters 2: Beatdown he leads a relationship with Jillian Murray.

Career

Music career

Geyer sang the third edition of talent show Australian Idol a song by Marc Cohn and came to the next round. In the next few shows, they performed the self-composed song Nice to meet you. With the song he came out of the top 100 in the Top 24 in Sydney. In a show he sang a song together with Gavin DeGraw ago ( Beautiful Day ). In the top 12, he sang Ryan Cabrera On the Way Down. In the finale he sang Edwin McCain's I'll be.

In 2006 he signed a recording contract with Sony BMG. In early 2007 his first single If you do not mean has been published. A few weeks later his first album Rush. In 2008, he took along with Caitlin Stasey the song Unforgettable, which was heard in the neighbor - sequence of 19 May 2008.

Acting Career

On November 4, 2007, he received a role in the Australian television series Neighbours. He was seen on 27 March 2008 to 30 April 2009 as the singer Ty Harber. In 2011, he starred in a host sequence of Single Ladies. His breakthrough came in the USA with the role of Mark Reynolds in the FOX science fiction television series Terra Nova. However, the series was canceled after only one season. He also had a starring role in the martial arts film Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown, the sequel to The Fighters.

On July 23, 2012, he landed a role in the fourth season of the FOX television series Glee as Brody Weston.
