Debbie Matenopoulos

Debbie Matenopoulos ( born December 13, 1974 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American journalist, talk show host and actress.

Although born in the United States, it is of Greek origin, so that her birth name - after her grandmother - Despina Matenopoulos was. This name was " Americanized " later to Debbie.

Career

First she attended for 2 years, the Virginia Commonwealth University, until she moved to the " School of Journalism " at New York University. During this time she also worked for MTV. From the cable guide it continuously rose to where she started as an internal employee and eventually became coordinator of the program Unfiltered Story.

In 1997 she became the co-host of Barbara Walters ' talk show The View, but left in 1999. (Some sources claim she was fired. ) In the same year she moved to the TV Guide Channel. In 2000, Debbie Lisa Swayzak played in the movie Endsville, as well as a role in the film AngryMan of 2001. On July 5, 2005, she married Jay Faires, the president and founder of Mammoth Records, an American record label.
