Dee Dee Warwick

Dee Dee Warwick ( born September 25, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey; † October 18, 2008 in Essex County, New Jersey; actually Delia Mae Warrick ) was an American soul singer.

Life

Warwick was the younger sister of Dionne Warwick and cousin of Whitney Houston. In the 1960s, she had several hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1969 and 1970 she was nominated for a Grammy, respectively. Some of their pieces are cover versions than the original, including You're No Good, which is a number -one hit was in the version of Linda Ronstadt 1975. Also I'm Gonna Make You Love Me was later successful in the version of the Temptations.

Warwick also sang the backing vocals in live performance and on recordings of her sister Dionne.
