Deen (singer)

Deen, actually Fuad Backović, ( born April 14, 1982 in Sarajevo) is a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina singer.

After graduating from high school in Sarajevo, he remained in the city and studied at the University of Economics. Deen has always had a strong passion for music. While he was still in high school, he attended the Music Academy, where he concentrated on opera and individual singing.

" Seven up "

Deen took his first steps in music when he was twelve. He recorded his first album, " Studio Number 1 ". 1997 Deen got to be an offer by Gordan Radic Gogi, the frontman of the group " Seven Up ," the lead singer of the boy band. Deen and published in the next five years, " Seven Up ," recorded two albums: " Otvori Oci " (" Open Your Eyes ") and " Seven ." The popularity of the group was not only limited to the BiH music market, even in neighboring countries, " Seven Up ," was popularized. " Seven Up " also received many awards.

Because of its unusual vocal abilities Deen received an offer in 1998 of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian National Theatre to participate in a production of " Carmina Burana ". For his Gesangesfähigkeiten Deen earned praise from the most famous artists of the former Yugoslavia, among them Davorin Popovic, Kemal Monteno, Hajrudin Varešanović. He also took with famous singers duets, so with the Croatian singer Vlatka Pokos (" Poljubi me " [ " Kiss Me " ] ) and with the Serbian superstar Anabela ( "Yes imam nekog " [ " I Have Somebody " ] ).

Euro Vision Song Contest

After several attempts, among other things, with his boy band " Seven Up ," Deen was invited directly by the Bosnian-Herzegovinian television to Euro Vision Song Contest 2004. He therefore denied the preliminary round alone and out of the featured tracks from him was the song "In the disco ," which was written by the Croatian singer Vesna Pisarović selected as a contribution. He finished ninth.
