Deez Nuts
Deez Nuts is an Australian hardcore band with strong rap and light metal influences from Melbourne. It was founded in 2007. The current lineup consists of vocalist and frontman JJ Peters, guitarist RealBad, bassist Jon Green and Alex Salinger.
History
The band was founded following the dissolution of I Killed the Prom Queen by JJ Peters, who was the drummer of this band in 2007, and adopted by composing the first song demo album Deez Nuts 2007 demo. It was followed by several successful performances around Melbourne, to which the band decided to release a full album, which was entitled Rep Your Hood.
January 2008 saw the band at the Boys of Summer tour part alongside other figures from the Australian hardcore scene in which the Deez Nuts became more and more attention. Shortly thereafter, JJ Peters began again to write songs for the next album, which he was briefly restricted only by participating in the Say Goodbye tour of his mother band I Killed the Prom Queen. In August 2008 the album Stay True was recorded. After a tour of Australia in September and a European tour in October - the album was released in Australia on October 4, 2008 - Stay True followed the tour from January - took place in February 2009. There were other shows in the UK and the USA, as well as many other tours in Australia, often along with other bands from different countries. In the time between all tours JJ Peters was formed in June 2008 with the New Zealand rapper Louie Knuxx a Hip-Hop/Rap-Formation called Grips & Tonic, which brought out the highly successful album Want Some, Get Some.
On 21 May 2010 Deez Nuts brought out the recorded in April album This One's for You. JJ Peters announced that he had needed just two weeks for composing the songs. It also rose to number 44 of the Australian charts, where it stayed for one week.
