History

The THD was founded in 1994 as the University of Applied Sciences Deggendorf. Background was the planning of the Bavarian government, by expanding the selection of study places in university education should be promoted. First degree was economics. The university was (formerly a private clinic ) housed first in the former community college and the renovated " Schauffler villa " in the immediate vicinity of the Neues Rathaus. A year later, a third technology transfer center in Spiegelau was founded.

In May 2007, it was renamed University of Applied Sciences - Fachhochschule Deggendorf. In October 2011, the brand of " HDU Deggendorf University University " should be introduced, but prohibited the competent Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts after appeal by universities. Faculty of Business Administration / Economics computer science

The Faculty of Business Administration / Economics is the largest computer science at the Technische Hochschule Deggendorf. The following courses are offered: Business Administration, International Management (English ), business computer science ( undergraduate degree program and IT Short Course ) and tourism management.

Business management

The graduate degree program in Business Administration was replaced by the seven-semester degree program in the winter semester 2006-2007. The main emphasis is on the practical training. So the students are in addition to the professional trained in the so-called methodological skills. Some courses are offered in English only. About 130 students are admitted per year, which are divided into a two -tier system.

In the later course of study, students can choose one of the following areas: service management, international sales and marketing management, purchasing and logistics, controlling and accounting, tax and auditing, finance.

Since the winter semester 2007-2008, the Technische Hochschule Deggendorf offers two Master's programs in the field of Business Administration:

Master Strategic and International Management (Consecutive) The focus of the learning content is the training in the strategic management of companies and administrations with an international element. Master Human Resource Management ( Consecutive) The course is interdisciplinary in accordance with the professional reality in the HR field. International Management
