Deivos

Deivos is a technical death metal band from Lublin, Poland, founded in 1997.

History

The band was founded in 1997 by Tomasz Kołcon ( electric guitar ), Marcin Górniak (vocals) and Maciej Nawrocki ( bass guitar, drum machine, electric guitar ). In 1999 the band recorded their first demo called Praised by Generations and published these on Broken Mind Records. However, due to the lack of a bassist and drummer live performances were not yet possible.

This changed in the mid of the year 2000, when drummer and bassist Krzysztof Saran Jaroslaw Pieńkoś joined the band. Maciek and Marcin left the band in late 2001. Bassist Jaroslaw now also took over the post of the singer. The band had now only one guitarist.

The beginning of 2003 on the band's EP Hostile Blood. The recordings were released in autumn 2003 on Butchery Music.

In 2004 Mścisław joined as a second guitarist with the band. Following the band wrote new songs for their debut album. The songs were recorded in January and February 2006 in the Hertz Recording Studio. The name of the album was Emanation from Below and was released in Poland on Empire Records in November 2006. The album was released via Metal Mind Productions in the rest of Europe in January 2008 and in the U.S. in March 2008.

Towards the end of 2008 the band recorded their next album again in Hertz Studio. The American label Unique Leader Records was thus aware of the band, so that the Gospel of Maggots released in February 2010 on the label. As a result, the band made ​​a tour through Poland. Pieńkoś left after the tour the band and Hubert (vocals) and Kamil ( electric bass) was replaced.

In autumn 2011, the next album Demiurge of the Void will appear at Unique Leader Records.

Style

The band's music is compared with that of Immolation, Hate Eternal, Decapitated and Behemoth. Characteristic is the aggressive tone of the works that fast blast beats, as well as the fast played guitar.
