Dekel Keinan

Dekel Keinan ( born September 15, 1984 in Rosh Hanikra ) is an Israeli football player. Since 2011 he is at Cardiff City under contract.

Career

Maccabi Haifa

Between 2002 and 2010, Dekel Keinan played in his native Israel for Maccabi Haifa in the Ligat ha Al. 2004 and 2009 he celebrated with his team winning the Israeli championship. The title wins in 2005 and 2006 he missed because he was on loan during these seasons at FC Bnei Sakhnin and Maccabi Netanya. In 2008 he won the Toto Cup with his team. With two wins in qualifying over FC Red Bull Salzburg Haifa reached the UEFA Champions League 2009/10. In the group matches against Girondins Bordeaux, Juventus and Bayern Munich but the team had no chance and was eliminated no points.

Blackpool FC

On July 29, 2010 Dekel Keinan moved to FC Blackpool. His new club had risen just in the Premier League 2010/ 11 and for the first time since the Football League First Division 1970/71 again top notch. Keinan played six league games for Blackpool before moving to Cardiff City on 21 January 2011.

Cardiff City

Cardiff was at that time active in the second English top flight. Keinan quickly earned a place at City and contributed its share to the good course of the season in the Football League Championship 2010 /11. On November 22, 2011, he moved on loan to second division rivals Crystal Palace.

National
