Demigod
A demigod is usually a creature that is descended from a god and not a divine being. The term can figuratively refer to quasi- divine power ( cf. demigods in white as a term for doctors and demigods in black for judges).

- Perseus ( Greek demigod son of Zeus and Danae )
- Aeacus ( is revered as a demigod on Aegina )
- Fionn mac Cumhaill ( from an Irish medieval legend )
- Cú Chulainn (the son of Lugh and Deichtire from an early medieval Irish legend)
- Manu ( child of Saraswati and Brahma )
- Taliesin ( Welsh poet, according to legend, son of the goddess Rhiannon ).
- Merlin ( legendary magician, son of Princess demetischen Candida and an incubus ).
- Maui ( Polynesian demigod, conqueror of the sun and predators of fire)
