Demyan Korotchenko

Demyan Serhijowytsch Korottschenko (Ukrainian Дем'ян Сергійович Коротченко, scientific transliteration Demyan Serhijovyč Korotčenko, . Born 29 November 1894 in Oktober/10 Pohribky, Oblast Sumy, Ukraine, † April 7, 1969 in Kiev ) was a Soviet politician.

From December 1954 until his death he was Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic and Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

Its predecessor was Mychajlo Hretschucha. Korottschenko was replaced by Oleksandr Ljaschko 1969.
