Denis Caniza

Denis Ramón Caniza Acuña ( born August 29, 1974 in Bella Vista Norte ) is a Paraguayan footballer who plays for Club León since 2010.

Club career

The defender, who (central left as well) was due to its versatility, a fixture in the national team, his career began in 1994 when Olimpia Asunción in Paraguay. With this club he won four championships in his country. In 1999 he moved for two years to Lanus in Argentina before he hired from 2001 to 2005 at Santos Laguna in Mexico. Since 2005, he played for Cruz Azul in Mexico also. There he played but only a year when he moved to CF Atlas 2006, but but returned after only one year. But there he was again only a year, then he moved back to Paraguay to his hometown club Olimpia Asunción. 2009, followed by six games for Club Nacional. Since 2010 he plays for Club León.

National

Caniza belonged to the World Cup cadres of Paraguay during the World Championships in 1998 and 2002 and also took part in the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany. After the preliminary round from the 2006 World Cup he explained first by a total of 77 international caps (one goal ) announced his retirement from the national team, but returned in 2007 back to national selection. Overall, he graduated in the period 1996-2010 100 countries games where he could score a goal. As the first Paraguayans he came at 4 World Championships used.
