Denis Kolodin

Denis Alexeyevich Kolodin (Russian Денис Алексеевич Колодин; born January 11, 1982 in Kamyshin, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian football player. The central defender is since 2013 in Volga Nizhny Novgorod under contract and part of the team of the Russian national team.

Kolodin was 14 -year-old youth of Olympia Volgograd, for 2000 he gave his debut in the third season of the Russian professional football. For the year 2001/ 02, he joined the newly promoted into the Premjer league Uralan Elista, where he was able to establish quickly and regularly played for the U-21 selection his home, but only after his move to the 2004 season to Krylia Sovetov Samara succeeded the final breakthrough. He quickly became a key player in the defense Samaras, the gain third place in the championship, and was able to reach the final of the Russian Cup. He also came out in August for the first time for the Russian selection to use.

In the summer of 2005 Krylia Sovetov got into serious trouble, which forced the club to sell Kolodins to the capital club Dynamo. Even with Dynamo, he quickly became master force in defense, in the years 2006 and 2007, he was elected by the Russian Federation to the list of the 33 best players in the league Premjer.

In summer 2008, Guus Hiddink appointed him to the Russian squad for the European Championship. There he attracted attention through a series of dangerous long-range shots to be lacking, however, in the semi-final against Spain, in which Russia was eliminated.
