Denis Quilley

Denis Quilley OBE ( Dennis Quilley ) ( born December 26, 1927 in London, † October 5, 2003 in London) was a British actor and singer.

Quilley was a famous British theater and film actor and singer. In the theater, he made himself as the most important Shakespeare - performer alongside John Gielgud and Laurence Olivier a name. His film career began in 1955 with The Merchant of Venice, a film adaptation of Shakespeare's drama by Hal Burton. This was followed by about 20 films, including Murder on the Orient Express (1974) and Evil Under the Sun (1982 ) by Agatha Christie, King David (1985) and most recently Cleopatra (1999). He also starred on such series as Dancers in Mourning and Oresteia with. Twice he won the Olivier Award.

1999 moved Quilley back and died in 2003 from cancer.
