Dennis Virkler

Dennis Virkler Michael (* November 1941 ) is a cutter.

Life

After Dennis Virkler 1972 assisted in the film section of horror attack, a horror film starring Orson Welles, he was already in the following year, The Picture of Dorian Gray work on their own responsibility to the film section of a television episode of Wide World Mystery and the television movie. It was followed by 1980 almost exclusively work in television before Virkler focused on the cinema business and movies like Xanadu, The Incredible Journey in a crazy spaceship and Gorky Park section. For The Hunt for Red October and on the run, he was considered in each case with an Oscar nomination for Best Editing. Both times he had the nominations share with other editors. This, however, led to the fact that he came for big blockbuster productions for the movie section in question. So he cut not only both Batman movies by Joel Schumacher, but was also responsible for the editing of films such as The Bourne Identity, Daredevil and Wolfman.

Dennis Virkler is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
