Deschambault - Grondines is a comune ( Municipalité ) in the MRC Portneuf the Canadian province of Quebec.
Deschambault - Grondines is located 60 km west of the provincial capital of Quebec City on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. The congregation had in 2006 a total of 2032 inhabitants and has an area of 125.59 km ²..
History
Deschambault - Grondines was founded in 1640 by the Seigneur de Chavigny. On 27 February 2002, the two communities Deschaumbault and Grondines were merged.
Traffic
The Trans-Canada Highway runs from Québec coming to Deschambault - Grondines. The extending further south Autoroute 40 leads to Trois -Rivières. Deschambault - Grondines is connected to the railway network of VIA Rail Canada.
