227.02

Deslandres is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side on the southern edge of the Mare Nubium, east of the crater Pitatus and northwest of Walter. There is a mountain ring with a diameter of about 200 kilometers, which is nevertheless characterized by its strong erosion little conspicuous.

Inside the crater Bright and Lexell lie.

The crater was officially named in 1948 by the IAU by the French astronomer Henri -Alexandre Deslandres.
