The Desna ( German Tess, Tess ) is a left tributary of the Morava River in the Czech Republic.

It arises in Altvatergebirge as Divoká Desna ( silence TESS ) (50 ° 3'54 " N, 17 ° 11'52 " O) 50.06517.197713888889970 of five spring-fed streams, the kámen from the valleys between the Divoký (1285 m), Velky Maj ( Big Maiberg, 1384 m), Kamzičník ( Holy Hubel, 1420 m ), Vysoká hole ( Hohe Heide, 1464 m) and the Petrovy Kameny ( Peter Steinemann, 1438 m) in 946 m above sea level. NN unite. West of Praděd is located in the valley of the Desna, the reservoir of the pumped storage plant Dlouhe Stráně, the upper basin was created on the same summit Dlouhe Stráně on Mravenečník ( Hubel ants ).

Until Kouty nad Desnou where the pass road to Cervenohorské saddleback ( Red Mountain Saddle) leaves the valley to the north, the river leads to the northwest. In Kouty flows from the right on the western slope of the Cervena hora ( Red Mountain ) springing Hučivá Desna ( Rushing TESS ). From this confluence the river carries the name of Desna and changes its course to the southwest.

Along the Desna are the places Loučná nad Desnou, Maršíkov, Terezín, Rapotín, Vikýřovice, Olomouc, Dolni Studénky, Bludov, Sudkov and Kolšov. In Postřelmov the Desna flows into 282 m above sea level. NN in the March.
