Sudkov

Sudkov ( German Zautke ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-west of Šumperk and belongs to the Okres Šumperk to.

Geography

Sudkov located in the Müglitzer furrow ( Mohelnická Brázda ) on the left side of the Desna above its confluence with the Morava. North-east rises the Dražník (506 m) and in the northwest the Brousná (364 m). In the southern part of the village pond Sudkovský is rybnik. On the opposite river bank was branch of the railway lines of Česká Třebová after Mohelnice and Zábřeh after Šumperk. There is also the Bludov station.

Neighboring towns are Bludov in the north, Dolni Studénky in the northeast, Dlouhomilov in the east, in the southeast Brníčko, Kolšov and Pazderna in the south, Postřelmov the southwest, Postřelmůvek in the west and Chromeč in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Sudkov took place in 1353 in the country table, as Paul the Younger Sovinec was attributed by his mother Anna half the village. 1373 sold the men of the village to the castle Sovinec captain of Mürau. Subsequent owners were since the end of the 14th century, the lords of Schoenwald and in the 15th century, the lords of Zwole. During the power struggles between Georg von Podiebrad and Matthias Corvinus the region 1468-1471 was hit and sacked by Hungarian and German armies. Here also the neighboring castle Brníčko and both parties was destroyed in Kolšov. 1480 sold Markvart of Zwole in connection with the proposed in the corridors of the deserted village Závořice construction of ponds Zadworschitzer the village to Georg Tunkl of Brníčko. This struck it in 1490 to unite the city to rule the High. 1516 was the village of 16 properties. Since 1567 the existence of the Sudkover mill and a stately Walke is detectable. After the Battle of White Mountain, the reign of four Ladislav Velen of Zerotein, the chief town were owned since 1589, confiscated and given 1622 for a small mite to Charles of Liechenstein. In the Thirty Years' War, the village was deserted and in 1690 it was again 28 economies. 1814 was the village of 73 houses and 529 inhabitants had.

After the abolition of patrimonial Sudkov / Zautke formed in 1850 a municipality in the district chief city. 1862 hanged the last miller of Sudkov, Johann Pulkert, who owned the mill since 1829. The mill acquired a year later the Moravian Schönberger entrepreneurs Ignaz Seidl and erected in its place a mechanical spinning, which went into operation in 1864.

In 1900 Sudkov consisted of 90 houses and 963 inhabitants had. In 1922 the bridge over the Desna. 1930 lived in 173 houses of the village 1548 people, of which 154 were German. After the Munich Agreement in 1938, the site added to the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district chief city. 1939 lived 1450 people in Zautke. The textile factory Seidl was nationalized in 1945; Today, the company is as Moravolen Šumperk still the largest employer in the town. After the dissolution of Okres Zábřeh the community came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Šumperk.
