German Protect -Eisenberg (Croatian Livio - Čjeka, Hungarian Németlövő - Csejke ) is a municipality in the district of Oberwart in Burgenland in Austria.

Geography

The municipality is located in southern Burgenland. Villages in the municipality are

  • German Protect (422 inhabitants, as of 2011),
  • Edlitz in Burgenland (94 inhabitants),
  • Eisenberg an der Pinka (392 inhabitants),
  • Holl (71 inhabitants) and
  • St. Kathrein im Burgenland (128 inhabitants)

History

In the field of German - Protect the Cistercians founded in the 13th century, the monastery Pärnu, whose last remnants were canceled in 1799. Originally there was the settlement Perwolff, said to have been destroyed in 1274. The name Perwolff goes back to the Carolingian period. Displaced archers of the Hungarian Gyepűsystems settled probably in a different place on the Hotter, now the German gunners. This place was first mentioned in 1289 as the Schuzen. Although he rose to the marketplace, he had no church of their own, as they remained in their original positions in Perwolff. 1221 included Perwolff also the Hotter of Schauka, which had been renamed in the 20th century in Eisenberg.
