De / Vision is a German synthpop band.

History

De / Vision was founded in July 1988 in Bensheim near Darmstadt by Thomas Adam, Stefan Blender, Steffen Keth and Markus Ganßert. In May 1991, Stefan Blender left the band.

The Maxi publications of Your Hands on my Skin 1990 and Boy on the Street 1992 on the label Synthetic Product Records, and various sampler contributions and various concerts, the cornerstone for the success of Try to Forget, the end of 1993 as maxi - single were at Strange Ways Records was published. Beginning of 1994 appeared the debut LP World Without End, which was also like the Maxi Axel Henninger, the former producer of camouflage, and De / Vision mixed. In April 1995, De / Vision were on extended tour of Germany.

In August 1995, the MCD Dress Me When I Bleed appeared. The ensuing tour led again by some of their strongholds. In November 1995, dedicated to the fans CD Antiquity with old, unreleased songs as well as live video Live Moments We Shared came out.

August 1996 was then the first chart entry ( number 87 Media Control ) with Fairyland and the publication of Maxi-Single Sweet life. After the great tour of Germany in September and October, the second single release I Regret appeared. The live video Fairy Live appeared in 1997.

After changing to the Major WEA Records De / Vision released their new album Monosex. On the Monosex Tour De / Vision played several times before over 1,000 fans. The CD debuted at No. 30 in the Media Control Charts and stayed for four weeks. The first single made ​​it to number 47, spent three weeks in the charts and was represented on the currently current VIVA sampler.

On 17 November, the 10th anniversary of the band with the CD Ten ( 88-98 ), a kind of best-of CD with some new remixes documented. The subsequent, detailed club tour took the band to go abroad again: Sweden, Norway, Holland, Switzerland and Spain. Live the band has been supported with some songs by a guest guitarist.

From February and April 1999, the band was in Berlin in the studio with the new producers Geord Kaleve.

After published in 2000 and controversial album Void Markus Ganßert left in the summer of 2000 the band. Thomas Adam and Steffen Keth decided to go it alone.

In autumn 2000 published De / Vision together with the Trance Project Green Court the single " Shining", which reached the Top 40 in the German single charts. However, the follow-up single Take ( My Breath Away ) could not connect to the success.

Drakkar Records approached the band, and after long negotiations, agreement was reached on a record deal. The CD Two was published. On the label of the then manager followed in 2002, the release of the album Remixed with songs from the years 1993 to 1996, with musical help from Jose Alvarez Brill.

The CD was released by Drakkar devolution in 2003, followed by a live CD Devolution Tour - Live, which was also published in the Synthetic Product Records Label of former management. Belatedly, then came the MCD I Regret 2002, which was not published until 2003 and the band again brought by the video clip on the screens.

The published in June 2004 album 6 Feet Underground increased from 0 to 35 in the Media Control charts, making it the second most successful album of the band after Monosex.

The previous VHS Videos Live Fairy Live Moments We Shared and were released with bonus material on the DVD Pictures of the Past.

On 27 January 2006, the new album was released hypodermic. The second best-of album, the band followed on 24 November 2006. On 24 August 2007, the new album NOOB, in which Steffen and Thomas for the first time completely worked together on an equal footing with their producers Schuhmann & Bach appeared. This fact is reflected in the title NOOB, the from the word newbie, so newbie or beginner, is derived.

In October 2007, the first vinyl release Your Hands on my Skin and the first maxi Boy on the Street as well as old samplers posts under the name Da * Mals were published. The new studio album titled Popgefahr appeared on 19 March 2010 in Germany. Like the previous album NOOB it was again produced by Schuhmann & Bach. In April 2010, Steffen Keth and Thomas Adam on tour, at that time, however, without the support of drummer and guitarist.

On August 24, 2012, the work Rockets Swords was released on the band's own label. The following month, went De / Vision on tour again, this time again with drummer.

Early 2013 gave de / vision officially announced that they will go on tour again this fall. The theme of this year's tour are: 25 Years - Best of Tour. Three concerts (Frankfurt, Berlin and Leipzig) will be recorded on this tour for audio and DVD recordings and will then be available exclusively to purchase only pledgemusic. A new single is also appearing to the tour.
