DGF Flensborg

The DGF Flensborg is a sports club of the Danish minority in Flensburg. The first football team played three years in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein.

History

The club was founded on 9 November 1923. The footballers played until 1951 in the area of the Danish Association and changed then to the DFB, where even today, many teams in the Danish league system compete. In 1963, DGF was master of the Amateur League 2 North, but failed in the promotion round of the national league. A year later reached the summit in the top flight of Schleswig-Holstein.
