Diana Hyland
Diana Hyland ( born January 25, 1936 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio as Diana Gentner, † March 27, 1977 in Los Angeles ) was an American actress.
Life and career
From 1955 to Diana Hyland was mainly as an actress in U.S. TV series known, several of which were also shown on German television, including Dr. Kildare (1961 ), Twilight Zone (1964 ), FBI ( 1967-72 ), Peaton Place ( 1968-69 ), Marcus Welby, MD ( 1971-75 ), Gunsmoke (1973 ), Cannon (1975) and use in Manhattan ( 1976).
In 1959 she recorded an impressive success in Tennessee Williams' Sweet Bird of Youth on Broadway.
In the area of the movie they made in 1964 is One Man's Way Ruth Stafford Peale, 1966, she starred in The Chase alongside Marlon Brando, Jane Fonda and Robert Redford with.
In May 1976 Hyland began a relationship with the younger by almost 18 Years John Travolta, with whom she starred in the television movie The Boy in the Plastic Bubble.
At the age of 41 years, Diana Hyland died of breast cancer. She left behind a then four- year-old son from her closed in 1969 and divorced in 1975 with Joseph Goodson. Posthumously, she was honored for her role in The Boy in the Plastic Bubble Emmy, the Travolta took in reception in their place.
