Diane Shalet

Diane Shalet Strong ( born February 23, 1934 Act; † 23 February 2006 in Palm Springs, California ) was an American actress and author.

Life

Shalet 1964 played their first theater role on Broadway in Arthur Miller's " After the Fall". In particular, they collaborated with the renowned " Lincoln Center Repertory Company " among directors Robert Whitehead and Elia Kazan. They also taught the subject drama, 17 years at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA ) and 14 years at the acting school of Robert Lewis. She founded " The Actors and Writers Lab". Shalet was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ( "Oscar" ) and the renowned New York Acting Workshop The Actors Studio.

Diane Shalet, who lived both in Manhattan as well as Los Angeles, played in movies such as "The Reivers " and " The Last Tycoon " with. She is best known as a soap star in TV productions like " The Waltons ," " Perry Mason ," "The Monkeys ," " Bonanza" and " Matlock ", she had more than 100 guest appearances.

In 1994 she wrote the novel " Grief in a Sunny Climate".

Shalet was with the actor Michael Strong ( † 29 September 1980) married.
