Dick Black (politician)

Richard H. Black ( born May 15, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American politician ( Republican).

Biography

In 1963, Black in the Marines and went to Vietnam for use. There he graduated as a pilot 269 helicopter missions. Furthermore fought Black as part of the 1st Marine Regiment in ground combat operations. For suffered injuries in the fight, he received the Purple Heart. After the Vietnam War, he served as a flight instructor and later attended the Ingineursschule. He completed his training there from the second best and was Company Commander. As such, he came with his 240 -strong unit on the Puerto Rico belonging to Vieques for use.

After retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps, he joined the University of Florida to study. Through its two-time selection as a member of the Student Senate of the University, he came here for the first time with politics in touch. 1973 Black joined his studies with honors from the School of Business and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration ( BSBA ). In 1976 he received his Juris Doctor.

Black now practiced as a lawyer in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. After he was in the Judge Advocate General's Corps ( JAG ) active in the rank of Major. From the Judge Advocate General of the Army, he was appointed Head of the Missouri JAG offices in Fort Leonard Wood. Later in his career he was at Fort Lewis (Washington), where he had under his 40 lawyers, active and served as head of the Army 's Criminal Law Division in the Ministry of Defense of the United States. In 1994, Black moved, now with the rank of colonel from active duty and became a partner in the law firm of Taylor, Horbaly, and Black.

In February 1998 he was elected to the House of Representatives from Virginia and belonged to this from 1998 to 2006. On November 8, 2011 he was elected to the Senate of Virginia. This he heard in February 2012 as a senator.

Black is married and has three children.
