Ordinary fork -moss ( Dicranum scoparium )

The Dicranaceae are a family of mosses ( Bryopsida ).

Features

These are mostly perennial mosses that grow in lawns. The stems are unbranched or sometimes troublesome task.

The leaves are typically drawn in a long, pfriemenförmige tip. In many species, the sickle-shaped inclined to one side of the stem. The leaf cells are at the base of the leaf oblong, the upper part circular to square.

The capsules are usually on long stems. Although the 16 peristome teeth can also be simple, but are often deeply divided, which is why the Germans also sometimes called the Moose Family " fork tooth Moose".

The Ditrichaceae family is very similar to the features usually contains but smaller mosses. The systematic classification of these two families is still unclear.
