The company Hessel Bach is a German family series from the year 1960. It is based on the figures of the Hessel Bach family. The film was directed by Wolf Schmidt and Harald Schäfer. Producer of the series was Lia Woehr.

Content

The series is about the everyday trivialities of Hesselbach family and thus draws the petty-bourgeois milieu of the young Federal Republic after. Karl " Babba " Hesselbach (Wolf Schmidt) is the owner of a small printing house, publisher of the weekly newspaper world show on Sunday and with mom Hesselbach ( Liesel Christ) married. The scene plays somewhere in the Hessian, only in the last season of the place of the action is set in the fictional town of Bedrock.

In the first season is the daily work in publishing in the foreground. Interpersonal events in the operating mainly form the basis of action. But specific problems of the economic miracle to be addressed (eg, raw material shortages and labor shortages ). Towards the end of the first season of the children of the Hesselbachs come, Heidi ( Rosemarie Kirstein ) and Peter (Dieter Henkel), from boarding back and go into the family business.

Thus the basis for the second season is set: The family comes to the fore and acts embarrassed to focus more on family events (love, marriage and birth ). In this season fall also the only two sequences that play abroad. A holiday trip leads the Hesselbachs to Cannes and later Mr. Hessel Bach to a congress to Tokyo. The consequence of the Congress of Tokyo is the only episode that was actually turned into a part abroad.

The beginning of 1963 came first criticism of the series, which were due to fatigue of the audience after three years Hesselbach episodes on television and before nine years on the radio. Wolf Schmidt responded by bringing the series episode 42 to a provisional end by Mr. Hessel brook enters into retirement, and the management of publishing his authorized representative and son Fred Lindner ( Joachim Engel- Denis ) hands.

By the end of 1966 returned the Hesselbachs with more modern concept on the screen. The actions were based more strongly towards the person of Karl Hesselbach, which is also evident from the titles of Mr. Hessel Bach and .... Mainly deal with the consequences of the third and final season of local political episodes in which Mr. Hessel stream acts as the city council in Bedrock. Again, current social issues were dealt with and is increasingly trying to appeal to youth audiences. This only partly succeeded. In the summer of 1967, the Hessischer Rundfunk discontinued the series, although Wolf Schmidt had already written more episodes.
