The children of the Alster is a German children's series of the NDR, which was produced from 1998 to 2004 and includes 52 episodes. This series is the sequel to the also 52-part children's series from the New Süderhof.
About the Alster
It's like living in the countryside - and yet in the City: The Good Alster is a holiday farm for children and families in the Hamburg Alster. There are close to a subway that leads into the center of Hamburg. In the surrounding area destinations such as the North Sea, the beautiful lake, the fish ponds, the Village Museum and the creepy bog exist.
Was built the estate Alster of two related families: the family and the family of Clement Summerland. You have children who are experiencing many adventures together in the mission of each. Over time, there are always new entries, including Rose, Kiki, Moritz, Dolly (German Shepherd) or Tarzan ( parrot).
In fact, the series was filmed only in some outdoor scenes in real Alster; the farms are, however, in reality, in Brock or from the third season in Wiedingen, both suburbs of Soltau.

Carla Summerland
Carla is the mother of Timo and the adoptive mother of Tobias and Kiki. Her mother- Ami heard the Good Alster and she cares primarily about the horses of the court. Her husband Charles died many years earlier. It leads in the first half of the series has a relationship with Jan Cruse. In the third season, she moved to Hamburg, which is why it has only sporadic appearances.
Suzy Clement

Uwe Clement

His duties on the farm are mainly the field work and craft things. Uwe is the quiet oasis in the family. The children, whether his own or Carla, can always come to him. Since his brother Karl died, he took over the role of father for Tobias and Timo and later also for Kiki. Later repeated with Merle, Niklas, rose and Moritz.
Timo Summerland
Timo is at the beginning of the series 15 years old and therefore the oldest. His biggest hobby is canoeing on the lake. His dog's name is Oscar. He is the son of Carla and Karl and the brother of Tobias and Kiki and the cousin of Julia and Lisa. His role changed greatly in the series. He turns to on the canoeing and music. He plays keyboards and founded a band. In the middle of the series, he comes along with Britta. In the fourth season he lives with Carla in Hamburg and is therefore rarely seen in the series.
Julia "witch" Clement
Julia called witch, is the second oldest of the Alster children. She goes to the same class, the 9a as her cousin Timo. Julia is a good rider, she plays hockey at first and then stoned. My favorite horse is called Justus. She lives in the same room as her sister Lisa, with which it often gives squabbles. In math it is a dud and she is afraid of thunderstorms. In the fourth season, she flies to Spain for a year.
Lisa Clement
Lisa is Hexes little sister and making it the third oldest of the children. She attends the same school as Timo, witch and Tobias. In her class, 8b, is Britta, Timo's girlfriend. Lisa's long-time friend is called Sebastian, from which it separates, however, resulted in 29. Lisa often takes over the work in the farm shop to supplement their pocket money. She is the only one of the " original " Alster - children, which is the entire series on present.
Tobias Sommer country
Tobias is Carla's adopted son. He learns, however only by accident. At first he is very interested in astronomy and his chicken Einstein. He is Kiki's caregiver and becomes her best friend. After the family moved to the new Good Alster, he is interested in football, wants to join the HSV and professional soccer player. In the fourth season he moved to Hamburg to Carla and is no longer seen in the series.
