The stone is a German television series which is broadcast by the first since 2008. The series provides both the private and the professional lives of dedicated and passionate teacher Potsdamer Katja stone dar.
The first episode of The Stone was broadcast on 29 July 2008, the last of the first season on October 21, 2008. Filming for the second season began in July 2010. 13 episodes of the second season aired from September to December 2011.
The scripts come from Gabriele Duke, Scarlett Kleint, Sebastian Orlac, Thomas Hernadi and John Lackner.

First Season
Summary
In the life of a personally and professionally happy wife and teacher Katja stone nothing more suddenly true. My husband is cheating with her sister. She loses her unborn child and is faced with financial worries. The director of her new school is Alexander Fumetti, an ex-boyfriend of study days and a little pleased to have her at his school. The painful experience that their world was only apparently in order, the protagonist badly affected, but does not think it upon once again to start from scratch. Force for it relates from their profession. She is wholeheartedly teacher.
Synopsis
In the first episode Katie's husband Oliver is having an affair with her sister Caroline. Then she leaves him and he goes to France. As a result, suffers Katja faint and a miscarriage.
The formerly happy couple a hotel has been built, which was mainly Oliver's dream. As he leaves, Katja wants to sell it. Her parents want this first stop, because they do not understand that she wants to be a teacher rather than hotel owner. Eventually, they sold it and actually reconciled after a collapse of her father with her sister.
With Stefan Hagen, a former investment banker who now runs an equestrian farm, she meets more often.
As is known, that the school is closed, the school secretary wants wife of Ryben take life because they do not know how to continue. Katja keeps them from and talks with director Fumetti. Katja has an idea on how they can still save the school: it proposes to make to the model project in front of the Heinrich- Heine-Schule. In cooperation with the riding of Stefan Hagen, students should have the opportunity, in addition to regular classes to be taught in professional riding. Stefan agrees and the teachers stand behind Katja.
Director Fumetti finds the idea good, but when he informed the school board, this will in spite of the numerous registrations close the school.
Victoria, the trainee teacher of Geography and Biology, Fumetti makes before an offer to go with her to South Africa, but when he gets an offer to take the vacant job as a school board, he now has three offers to choose from.
Wife of Ryben alerted the college and informed it about Fumettis plans. Led by Katja it comes to the crucial question: Do we need Fumetti?
Stefan continues with Katie's sister to Italy, because they want to exhibit some pictures there. When they come back, Katja believes that they have an affair, but they can resolve the suspicion quickly. Katja falls in love with Stefan and he gives her as a token of his love a foal.
Karola is pregnant. Ironically, Katie's ex-husband Oliver she is expecting a child. Katja and they are dismayed. Katie has lost her child and her Karola will not. As Caroline wants to go to an abortion, she decides to short again in order to get the child yet. Slowly, Katja can look forward to her aunt role.
The project " Riding School" comes by accident to falter. The sister of one of Katie's students manage to persuade the school board, so that the project is yet to take place again. This school has been saved. Mr. Fumetti finally remains in Germany, which Victoria disappointed. When she offers him to stay in Germany when she marries Fumetti, the director refuses and therefore leaves the Victoria School at the end of the school year.
As a former business associate of Stefan comes and offers him back in his old job back, this assumes hesitantly. For initially a temporary project, he went to Shanghai. When he later returned to Germany, he makes a request Katja. He wants her to accompany him for a year to Shanghai because he there to take over a bank branch. Katja decides to remain in Germany. But she promises him, him as often as possible to visit.
At the closing ceremony of the school Fumetti announced its decision not to implement the cooperation with the riding against the contract with Stefan as a riding instructor, but set a different trainer and start a boarding school. The teachers are horrified Stefan wants to sue Fumetti.
As Oliver suddenly shows up, the Karola throws in the truest sense of the web. She drives her car into a ditch. Then put her into labor. The baby born healthy in the world. Full relief Katja returns to the riding stable and meets Stefan. He let fly the plane to Shanghai. For them. For a common future.
Second Season
Summary
After all the turmoil that have swirled the life of the dedicated teacher Katja Stone (Julia Stemberger ) in the first season messed up, now rest seems to be turned around. She lives with Stefan Hagen (Jochen Horst ) on the idyllic horse farm in a picturesque corner of Brandenburg. Katja is supported by Renée (Petra Kleinert ), which is her close friend and ally at the same time among the staff. Thanks to Katie's courageous use of the school board, the persistence of the Heinrich- Heine-Schule by the concept is " riding school " secured. However, the headmaster provides Fumetti ( David C. Bunner ) is facing unprecedented challenges, inspires among the students but great enthusiasm.
The rest however, it is soon over: first is Katie's sister Caroline (Katja Studt ) the new art teacher at school - and ironically, the new mistress of Rector Fumetti. Then Karolas son Clemens is hospitalized with life-threatening bleeding into the hospital and the doctors' diagnosis shocked all deeply ...
