Diego el Cigala

Diego Ramón Jiménez Salazar (* December 27, 1968 in Madrid, Spain), also known as El Cigala (which means as much as Norway lobster ) is a famous Romani Flamenco singer. The stage name " El Cigala " was him from the guitar trio of brothers Losada given (not, as is often too, Camarón de la Isla ).

One of his best-known albums is Lágrimas negras from 2003, which was created in collaboration with the then 85 -year-old Cuban pianist Bebo Valdés. The combination of Cuban rhythms and flamenco vocals made ​​these recordings internationally successful.
