Dieter Elsneg

Dieter Elsneg (born 4 February 1990 in Wagna ) is an Austrian football player at the position of a striker.

Career

Club career

Elsneg began his career at SV Strass in Steiermark. In 2004 he entered the Academy of Grazer AK, then still Erstligist and reigning Austrian champion. After three years in the youth and amateur team in Graz he made ​​the jump to the professional cadres of the Redcoats. After the total financial crash and the impending demotion of the Red Devils in the Regionalliga Mitte, Elsneg came after almost all the other regulars had migrated to his first Bundesliga use in Austria. Elsneg came on in the 34th round of the 2006/07 season in the game of GAK against SK Rapid Vienna in the 65th minute for Martin Amerhauser. The Graz lost the game 0-2. After relegation to the Regionalliga Elsneg flirted with a move to Red Bull Salzburg Juniors, but he decided to stay at the GAK.

In the 2007/08 season in the Regionalliga Mitte Elsneg scored eleven goals in 25 games. After this, in his view rather successful season he transferred to Italy Frosinone Calcio. After he failed a long time at the beginning of the 2009/ 10 due to an injury, he came to no use for Frosinone until the winter break. In January 2010, he then moved on loan to Serie A to UC Sampdoria. In June 2009, the club wanted to sign the player, then failed the transfer of the veto of Frosinone. For now, the loan contract is limited to half a year, but Sampdoria has a purchase option. Even before joining Sampdoria Elsneg had from November 2009 Contact with the Austrian Bundesliga SK Sturm Graz, whose club's management was negotiating with the player. In the summer of 2013 he moved to three seasons at Kapfenberg SV on loan to newly promoted Bundesliga SV Grödig.

Internationally

International Elsneg already came for the Austrian U-16, U -17 and U-18 selections to use, for which he completed a total of six matches and scored five goals. He also came to 12 inserts and a goal in the U-19 selection in his home country. Currently, he is an Austrian U-21 team player.
