Dieter Schenk

Dieter Schenk ( born 1937 in Frankfurt ) is a German criminologist, historian and writer. Since 1990 he has worked as a freelance journalist.

Activities

From 1963 to 1971 Schenk worked in the Hesse state Criminal Office in Wiesbaden. From 1971 to 1972 he studied at the Police Staff College. From 1973 to 1979 he headed the criminal investigation at the police headquarters casting. Subsequently, he worked from 1980 to 1988 as a criminal division in the Office of the Federal Interpol Wiesbaden.

In 1989 he left the BKA due to irreconcilable differences and in 1992 was a founding member of the coordination group of police at Amnesty International. In 1991 he founded (together with Hans lake ) the civil and human rights organization Business Crime Control Association ( BCC) and the quarterly journal BIG Business Crime. Until 2006 he was deputy chairman of BCC. Since 1993, Schenk research in the field of National Socialism. Since 1998, he is also an honorary professor at the University of Lodz / Poland.

By 2001, Schenk was also a member and the board of the Federal Association of critical police officers.
