Different Class

Different Class is the fifth studio album by the British pop band Pulp. It was released in October 1995 PolyGram / ​​Iceland Records.

Creation and publication

Different Class was produced by Chris Thomas. It contained the two most successful singles the band, which both reached number two on the UK Charts: Common People and Sorted for E 's & Wizz / Mis - Shapes (the latter with two A-side ). The album climbed to No. 1 on the UK charts and was awarded in the UK with quadruple platinum. It also won the Mercury Music Prize in 1996.

Different Class came almost exclusively to very positive reviews and was found later in all the favorite lists of well-known music magazines and websites. The British magazine Q was 2000 vote its readers about the hundred best British albums, Different Class which fell to 46th place. Previously, the same magazine had placed the album at number 37 of the best albums of all time. The Rolling Stone gave the album four out of five to be awarded points, Allmusic rated it with full marks and honors the "AMG Album Pick".
