Dimitrie Ghica

, Also called Dimitrie Ghica Beizadea Mitică, ( born May 31, 1816; † February 15, 1897 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian politician and Prime Minister of the country.

Life

The son of Prince Grigore IV Ghica initially received military training. He then worked in politics. Dimitrie Ghica married Charlotte Duprond. With her he had daughters Mary and Iza. In his long political career, he was, among other exterior - Interior and Justice Minister and Minister of Labour of the country. The conservative politician was also Chairman of the Senate and the House of Assembly, on 16 November 1868 and on January 27, 1870 Prime Minister of Romania. He died at the age of 81 years in Bucharest.
