Dimitrios Itoudis

Dimitrios Itoudis (Greek Δημήτριος Ιτούδης, born September 8, 1970 in Veria, Greece ) is a retired Greek professional basketball player and coach.

Dimitrios Itoudis career as an active basketball player was of relatively short duration. Itoudis played this at a young age for the Greek amateur clubs Ermis Trikalon and Alketa Alexandria, before he decided to move to Croatia to record there at Zagreb University to study sports science. His first experience as a coach made ​​Itoudis during his studies when he headed the youth wing of Mladost Durdevac. From 1990 to 1992 he became the coach of the second team of KK Zagreb in order to ascend in the coach - rod of the first team, following up in 1995 under the Croats Bosko Bozic as an assistant coach. At the same time practiced Itoudis also as coach for the University team.

After his return to Greece Itoudis signed for the 1995/1996 season a one year contract with Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki tradition. Initially conceived as an assistant coach of Efthimios Kioumourtzoglou, Itoudis moved after his release on to the post of chief coach and managed with PAOK even the entry into the Cup final. He subsequently worked for Panionios Athens, Thessaloniki and Filippos MENT Itoudis 1999 moved to Panathinaikos, where he took over the post of assistant coach under the Serbian coach Zeljko Obradovic Star. With Panathinaikos Itoudis could until today besides eleven championships, winning seven cup victories in 2000 also the European Champions Cup, and in the years 2002, 2007, 2009 and 2011, the ULEB Euro League.
