Dimitry Muravyev

Dmitri Murawjow (Russian: Дмитрий Муравьёв; born November 2, 1979) is a Kazakh cyclist.

Career

Murawjow went in 2001 as a stagiaire at Domo - Farm Frites and the following season in the junior team Mapei -Quick Step. In his second year there, he was able to celebrate some successes. He won three stages in Ruban Granitier Breton and was first overall. A little later he was Kazakh national time trial champion and won two stages at the Tour des Pyrénées. In 2004 he received a professional contract with the French cycling team Crédit Agricole.

The only victory that he could enter in 2005, was his second Kazakh time trial championship. From 2006 he drove Jartazi - 7Mobile at the Belgian team. In 2007 he moved to Team Astana. In the seasons of 2010 and 2011, he ran for the U.S. Team Radioshack and then switched back to the Astana team.
