Dimples D. is the pseudonym of American rapper Crystal Smith. The single Sucker DJ she made in 1990 to a one- hit wonder.
Career
1983 Sucker DJ was one of the first known production of Marley Marl ( Marlon Lu'ree Williams), an American music producer and DJ, in which a female MC, rapper Crystal Smith was heard. Great success has not recorded the track first.
It was not until seven years later a remix was included, Sucker DJ reached the charts in Europe. In Germany and the UK, there were top 20 finishes, in Austria the song even got into the top 10
In the 1990 version of Sucker DJ were samples of the theme music from the TV series I Dream of Jeannie ( Original title: I Dream of Jeannie ) processes, which emerged in the 1960s. The composition was by Hugo Montenegro, the text by Buddy Kaye. The track was the only hit by Dimples D.
