Diocese of Linköping

The Diocese of Linköping (in Swedish Linköpings pin ) is one of the thirteen dioceses within the Church of Sweden. It consists of 154 parishes ( församlingar ), which are combined into nine church circles.

The history of the Diocese dates back to the year 1120. It included then today's historical provinces Östergötland, Småland, Öland and Gotland. Geographically extends the diocese today about the historical provinces Östergötland and parts of Småland. Bishop's seat is the city of Linköping Linköping Cathedral with the church as a bishop.
