Diphu ( Assamese: ডিফু Diphu [ dip ʰ u] ) is a town in the Indian state of Assam. It is the administrative seat and largest city of the autonomous district of Karbi Anglong. The population is 52,062 ( 2001 census).

Diphu is located at an altitude of nearly 200 meters above sea level on the banks of the river of the same name. Over the railway line from Guwahati via Lumding to Dibrugarh Diphu is connected to the railway network.
