Director of Policy Planning

The Director of Policy Planning is the officially established by the U.S. State Department senior officer of the internal think tank, Policy Planning Staff.

This position is one of the most prestigious positions in the State Department and has been, according to the traditions, dressed by one of the most intellectual people objecting to the foreign policy. So the place was occupied for example already of two national security advisers of the United States, a President of the World Bank Group and several Presidents of the Council on Foreign Relations.
